Using our boat the Mariri II, a very comfortable safe 5.85 metre (19 foot) craft, we offer you a lovely day out on the lake whichever activity or combination of activities you choose.

Any of the various activities can be combined. For example a days Picnicing could include some fishing and sightseeing.

Safety is our number one concern and you can be assured that Donald and Pamela will put this before anything else.

The Mariri II is equipped with the very latest of equipment such as VHF radio, PLB (Personal Locater Beacon), life jackets for all and has been fully surveyed as is required by Maritime New Zealand.

Donald has his Local Launch Operators certificate which is also a requirement by Maritime New Zealand and has had over 50 years of experience in handling this type of boat and knows the southern end of Lake Taupo intimately.

Hot fine sunny days or rainy wet weather, the Mariri II has shade and wet weather awnings to keep you from the direct sun or the rain trickling down your neck.

Whilst we do have limited wet weather gear available, we strongly suggest you bring warm wind and waterproof clothing, sun hats and plenty of sunscreen (even on wet or cloudy days).

Complimentary light refreshments are supplied on all fishing trips but we can arrange for a picnic hamper for breakfast, lunch or a light evening meal. There is an extra charge per person for this service. Please contact us for your extra requirements.

All fish caught will be cleaned and bagged.

Please note that our boat does not have toilet facilities. We have stop off points if needed. You do not need to be concerned.

Pickup and return you to your accommodation from Turangi, Tokaanu, Pukawa, Omori and the Kuratau are included. All other areas will have a travel surcharge.
